QUESTION: Councillor D. Loftus

To ask the manager if St Mark's Meadows and An Clos Beag are due to be taken in charge soon as the council previously stated in February 2026 that the Taking in Charge process was underway and the process of completing final snag items was in process?

REPLY:

These estates are Council built estates, and therefore the understanding is that they would automatically be taken in charge once they were deemed completed satisfactorily.  The SDCC Taking in Charge team will have to check with the Architects department to ensure that all items in the estates are completed to a satisfactory standard.  And then our SDCC maps and records can be updated to show the estates are in SDCC charge.
