MOTION NO.8

MOTION: Councillor D. Loftus

To request the Manager install additional lighting on the outer path in Quarryvale Park.

REPORT:

The upgrade of Quarryvale Park was undertaken in accordance with the approved Part 8 plans presented to the County Council in June 2023. The approved design included the provision of public lighting along the park's two primary routeways, namely the shared pedestrian and cycle routes linking the main entrance on Fonthill Road with Shancastle Lawns and Greenfort Gardens.

Park users are encouraged to use these illuminated routes during hours of darkness and to avoid unlit sections of the park where possible.

There are currently no plans to provide additional public lighting in other areas of Quarryvale Park.
