QUESTION: Councillor A. Hayes

To ask the manager if SDCC have any intention to resurface pedestrian access points to Waterstown Park from the lower carpark to ensure easy access for wheelchair, buggy and vulnerable walkers. Pictures attached.

REPLY:

The resurfacing of the section of the path in the vicinity of the kissing gate is included in the 2026 Improvement Works Programme.  Works will be carried out in Q4.

The path beside the lower car park will be assessed and if it is possible to include it in the current works programme arrangements will be made to have it resurfaced subject to the availability of funding.  If it is not possible to have the work carried out in the current year it will be listed for consideration for the 2027 Improvement Works Programme.
