"This Tallaght area committee request the council to explore the possibility of feature/seating space around the two Hawthorn trees on Whitestown Greenway?"

REPORT:

Seating was provided at both ends of the recently completed Whitestown Greenway as part of the overall project delivery. The omission of seating within the central section of the Greenway was a deliberate design decision, informed by concerns raised by local businesses during the public consultation process regarding the potential for anti-social behaviour. In these circumstances, the provision of seating in the middle section of the Greenway, away from areas benefiting from passive surveillance, would not be considered appropriate.
