QUESTION: Councillor H. Farrell

To ask the Manager if there are any derelict (especially Protected Structures) or vacant properties owned by SDDC in the LPNC area that are planned to put back into residential or community use in 2027, subject to grant aid or funding?

REPLY:

The Council has acquired one property in the Lucan / Palmerstown / North Clondalkin area under the Derelict Sites Act.  The property will be funded through the Buy and Renew Scheme, which supports the acquisition and refurbishment of long-term vacant and derelict properties for social housing purposes.

The property in question is not a protected structure. Subject to the completion of the required refurbishment works, it is anticipated that the dwelling will be returned to residential use during 2027.
