The Council has eight staff assigned on a permanent basis to the cleaning and maintenance of Tallaght's central areas, including Airton Road, Monday to Friday. In addition, a contractor is engaged to undertake quarterly mechanical sweeping of the roadway and footpaths to assist with the removal of litter and leaf litter.

To further enhance the maintenance of the area, the Airton Road footpath will be added to the Council's mini-sweeper route, with additional footpath sweeping to be carried out on a weekly basis. The Council will continue to monitor the area and respond to any maintenance requirements as they arise.

It should be noted that the planted areas and plaza within the Airton Road apartment development are privately owned and are the responsibility of the Management Company.
