"To ask the Manager to outline the total cost incurred by the Council over the past decade in removing illegally dumped waste from Montpelier Estate, including the costs associated with any additional measures implemented to address and prevent this ongoing issue?"

REPLY:

The Council does not maintain a 10-year record of the costs incurred in removing illegally dumped waste from Montpelier Estate. Public Realm crews respond to all reported incidents of illegal dumping in the area as they arise. The typical cost of a clean-up operation is estimated to be in the region of €500 to €800 per occurrence, depending on the extent and nature of the material involved.
