QUESTION NO. 4
QUESTION: Councillor W. Carey
To ask the Chief Executive for an explanation as to the reason why the public toilets at the new Corkagh Park Café were out of order for an extensive period over the summer months and to ascertain if there is an ongoing issue of concern here.
REPLY:
We acknowledge that there have been a number of operational issues with the toilet facilities in Corkagh Park over the summer and regret the inconvenience caused to park users. Following an inspection, it was identified that a recurring fault affecting a number of units was the primary cause of the issue. The maintenance contractor has since sourced an alternative solution and remedial works are already underway.
It is anticipated that these toilet facilities will be fully operational by the 18th of September.
