MOTION: Councillor L. O'Toole

That this Area Committee requests the Chief Executive to revisit previous requests and management responses regarding the provision of a dedicated water tap/drinking point within the Griffeen dog park run and to examine the installation of such facilities having regard to the fact that similar water tap/drinking point facilities are provided within other dog parks across the County and that it would be appropriate for the Griffeen dog park to have the same level of amenity provision for users and their dogs.

REPORT:

The provision of a water supply is subject to the availability of a water source in the area and the approval from Uisce Éireann to facilitate a connection.  Uisce Éireann have been contacted in relation to the matter.  Should it prove feasible a tap will be listed for consideration in the draft Public Realm Improvement Works Programme for 2027.
