QUESTION: Councillor D. Richardson

"Can the Council request a dust level test around Fettercairn area from the Roadstone quarry?"

REPLY:

There are 6 dust monitoring points around the perimeter of the Roadstone quarry. Results are received from Roadstone on a quarterly basis as part of their planning conditions.

The Principal Environmental Health Officer will be visiting Roadstone Quarry during the week beginning 15^th June to meet with the Environmental Manager to discuss the effectiveness of the current monitoring programme and the dust mitigation measures in place.

Should additional assessment be deemed necessary for the Fettercairn and wider area, a programme of air quality monitoring will be undertaken.
