MOTION: Councillor T. Gilligan

That this Area Committee outlines the changes regarding locking gate removal preventing cars getting from Cherrywood Ave to Clondalkin Swimming Pool car park and if it is in its finished state - currently 2 bollards have been put up.

REPORT:

New park gates and railings have been fabricated for the vehicle maintenance entrance to Clondalkin Park at the end of Cherrywood Avenue. These are currently with a galvanising contractor, where they are being galvanised and painted. Installation will take place once these works are completed and the items are returned to the Public Realm Section.

In the meantime, two temporary bollards have been installed to prevent unauthorised vehicle access to the park while works are ongoing. These bollards will be removed once the permanent boundary and maintenance gates have been installed.
