That this area committee asks if kerb drainage with rainwater inlets could be part of a SuDS solution on Grange Park Rathfarnham working in collaboration with local residents to reduce risk of flooding?.

REPORT:

The Whitechurch Stream Flood Alleviation Scheme (Whitechurch Stream FAS) is being progressed by South Dublin County Council with funding provided by the Office of Public Works (OPW). Substantial completion for the scheme is scheduled for the end of Q4 2026. 

The installation of SUDs on the Grange Park Road at this point would be deemed premature ahead of the completion of the Whitechurch FAS.
