MOTION NO.1

MOTION: Councillor P. Cosgrave

That the Manager have the old stone wall at the footpath on Edmondstown Road, Ballyboden, along the Owendoher river repaired. There are broken areas of the wall opposite Ballyboden Primary Care centre up to opposite Beechview. The old wall is part of Ballyboden and Rathfarnham heritage and should be restored that respects our heritage. The wall has damage from roots of trees along the river that might need to be cut back.

REPORT:

There are 6 locations that need repair but the wall is being undermined by adjoining trees. Roads are trying to identify the responsible party for these trees and discuss options regarding them.

Once this underlying issue is resolved we'll arrange for the repair of the walls
