To ask the Chief Executive to clarify the ownership and zoning status of the lands located adjacent to Griffeen Avenue, the R136 Outer Ring Road and the Griffeen Community College development (see attached photo) and to outline any existing or proposed plans for these lands and whether elected members and the local community will have an opportunity for input into any future proposals relating to the site.
REPLY:
The area referred to forms part of the wider Clonburris SDZ lands and is located adjacent to the Griffeen Community College site, which is currently under construction.
The indicative area referenced forms part of the permitted Stage 2A North Link Street infrastructure works, with a small portion also interfacing with future Stage 2B infrastructure works (Please refer to planning register references SDZ24A/0033W. The primary infrastructure proposed within this area as part of Stage 2A relates to underground attenuation infrastructure and associated surface water management works.

In relation to zoning, the lands form part of the Clonburris SDZ lands. Details relating to zoning objectives and permitted land uses are available within the Clonburris SDZ Planning Scheme documentation.
With regard to land ownership, ownership information and associated mapping are publicly available through the Land Registry via Landdirect.ie. In addition, the Land Development Agency has published mapping of State-owned lands, which is also publicly available.
Any future development proposals relating to these lands would be subject to the relevant statutory planning processes.
