QUESTION: Councillor T. McDonald

To ask the Manager to report on the future plans for the parcel of land located opposite Di Bella and bordering Griffeen Avenue and Oldbridge Estate, and to clarify whether there are still proposals as per the original Clonburris SDZ plan to provide an attenuation pond on this site, following the recent clearing of overgrowth from the area.

REPLY:

The area referred to forms part of the wider Clonburris SDZ lands and is located adjacent to the Griffeen Community College site, which is currently under construction.

The indicative area referenced forms part of the permitted Stage 2A North Link Street infrastructure works, with a small portion also interfacing with future Stage 2B infrastructure works (Please refer to planning register references SDZ24A/0033W. The primary infrastructure proposed within this area as part of Stage 2A relates to underground attenuation infrastructure and associated surface water management works.

Full details of the Stage 2A planning permission, including relevant drawings and associated documentation, are available to view on the Council’s Planning Portal under Reg. Ref. SD24A/0033W.

In relation to zoning, the lands form part of the Clonburris SDZ lands. Details relating to zoning objectives and permitted land uses are available within the Clonburris SDZ Planning Scheme documentation.

With regard to land ownership, ownership information and associated mapping are publicly available through the Land Registry via Landdirect.ie. In addition, the Land Development Agency has published mapping of State-owned lands, which is also publicly available.

Any future development proposals relating to these lands would be subject to the relevant statutory planning processes.
