MOTION NO.6

MOTION: Councillor H. Farrell

To ask the Manager for a firm commitment to immediately return the wooden sculpture that previously stood in Lucan village green, to the green, on completion of the works, as promised by SDCC Management to both previous and current Councillors. The "look" of the village green has been drastically altered by the recent redesign, but it should be perfectly possible to choose a suitable location in the new green for the sculpture, as it is a valued part of street art by Lucanian's.

REPORT:

The wooden sculpture previously removed from the Village Green is currently located in Waterstown Park. It can be reinstalled in Lucan, either within the Village Green or the Lucan House grounds. A suitable location will be identified following the upcoming completion of the ongoing works in the Village.
