QUESTION: Councillor D. Richardson

"Can the Manager report on price on affordable housing that will go on sale in the summer at killinarden foothills?"

REPLY:

SDCC is working with Arden DAC to deliver over 635 homes in Killinarden Foothills, a vibrant new neighbourhood featuring 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes. 372 of these new homes are being offered for sale under an Affordable Dwelling Purchase Agreement (ADPA), which helps eligible buyers bridge the gap between the maximum mortgage available to them and the market value of the home. These homes are, subject to exceptions, being made available for first-time buyers only.

Phase 1, which consists of 176 homes will be delivered in 2027 and 2028, with delivery of phases 2 and 3 following that.

All details are being finalised in advance of the launch of the scheme in May 2026.

There will be a community event taking place in County Hall in late May where members of the public will be able to view plans and register their interest in the scheme.  SherryFitzgerald have been appointed as the sales agent for the scheme by the Arden Team.

Once confirmed, all details, including minimum purchase prices will be available on the SDCC website, and we will write to elected members with the information to share with your constituents and interested parties.
