QUESTION: Councillor M. Johansson

To ask the Chief Executive if there are any plans to increase the opening hours of the Library Hub in Palmerstown, and if so, when this would be likely to be implemented?

REPLY:

Palmerstown Library currently opens to the public 4 days a week . An extension of the service to the public from 2 - 4 days was launched in December 2023.

The library service is currently exploring options to extend hours - with consideration given to community demand and operational feasibility. 

We anticipate that an extension to opening hours may take place in 2027.
