QUESTION: Councillor L. O'Toole

To ask the Chief Executive to provide:

The number of Internation Protection Accommodation (IPAS) centres in the Lucan Electoral Area

Of these how many are:       

(a) operated by South Dublin County Council/DRHE, and     

(b) operated by private providers

REPLY:

In the Lucan Electoral Area there is only one B&B used to accommodate International Protection Applicants. Mostly single females occupy the property. 
 
The facility is not operated by the Council however the Local Authority Integration Team supports the residents with their needs if requested.
