"This area committee requests the need for traffic calming measure in St Maelruans Estate to be considered and to provide any reports or possible plans to help address the concerns of residents in the area due to ongoing issues with speeding cars in the estate?"

REPORT:

The concerns raised by residents regarding speeding and traffic behaviour in St. Maelruan’s Estate are noted. This location will be added to the next Traffic Calming Assessment review programme, which is expected to be carried out in Q4 2026. As part of this assessment, traffic conditions and site characteristics will be examined to determine the suitability of traffic calming measures. Any potential recommendations will be subject to engineering assessment, prioritisation, and the availability of funding.
