MOTION: Councillor J. Sinnott

This Committee notes the impact of the recent flooding at Dodder Valley and the amount of debris deposited near and around Dodder Valley Park. This Committee requests that the Council take steps to remove this debris as soon as possible.

REPORT:

Following the recent flooding and associated surcharging along the Dodder Valley Park, parks staff removed debris from paths and parkland areas as quickly as conditions allowed. A follow-up inspection has also been completed recently, and the parklands were found to be clean and free from litter and debris.

For debris in the watercourse, Natural Water have added this to their workflow, and will remove any debris from the river within Dodder Valley Park.
