To ask the Chief Executive how much of council rent collected was used for the retrofitting programme in addition to central government funding over the last five years?
REPLY:
The table below summarises the number of social homes that received energy efficiency retrofit works, along with the associated expenditure and funding provided by the Department of Housing, Local Government (DHLGH) and Heritage over the last five years. The DHLGH have set us a target of 125 homes for 2026 and have provided funding of €5m including project management fees. In addition, under our current Capital Programme 2026-2028, we have provided €2.7m per annum from our own resources towards this programme.
