QUESTION: Councillor L. O'Toole
Following the previous motion raised regarding the potential introduction of a labyrinth-type feature in Vesey Park can the Chief Executive confirm whether any further examination or consideration has taken place regarding the feasibility of introducing such a feature in Vesey Park or another suitable park within the Lucan area?
REPLY:
As reported under M10 at the ACM in June 2025, the layout of Vesey Park together with the use of native planting provides sufficient opportunity to promote mindfulness, gentle exercise and exploration. There was no proposal to install a labyrinth-type feature in the park at the time and this position remains unchanged. A review of other parks in the Lucan area was carried out and given their extensive use for passive and active recreation, there was no other location identified that would suit such a feature.
