QUESTION: Councillor V. Casserly

To ask the manager for an update on the current status of the pitch upgrade works at Griffeen Park, Haydens Lane site to give clarity on projected completion date and when it can be returned to use by the local club.

REPLY:

The GAA pitch at Griffeen Park was seeded last year and is currently in its establishment period. There is still some work outstanding on the regrading of areas along the boundary of the pitch and other areas. This work will be carried out over the next two weeks once weather conditions stay favourable.  If growing conditions are good over the spring and summer, it is anticipated that the pitch will be available for use by the end of the summer.
