QUESTION: Councillor W. Carey

To ask the Chief Executive what information is available regarding a potential car sales business being carried out at (address supplied), where the congregation of large numbers of vehicles has become a nuisance to residents in the area. 

REPLY:

A Waste Enforcement Officer has visited the address supplied and noted an accumulation of vehicles and motor parts held at the address.  Investigations are now under way into the legal ownership of the vehicles and the properties registered owner.  Once these details have been ascertained enforcement actions shall be taken under Section 14 of the Waste Management Act, 1996 as amended.
