To ask the Chief Executive if he intends to launch any affordable purchase housing schemes in the Clondalkin area in 2026?

REPLY:

SDCC’s next affordable purchase scheme at Keepers Lock, Clonburris, Dublin 22 will be launched and advertised in the coming weeks.

Keepers Lock, Clonburris is a vibrant new community, featuring spacious houses, apartments and duplexes. Perfectly suited for first-time buyers and growing families, these homes offer a harmonious blend of community charm and urban convenience.

A total of 25 new homes are being offered for sale by SDCC under an Affordable Dwelling Purchase Agreement (ADPA).  These homes are, subject to exceptions, being made available for first-time buyers only. These include:

Once the scheme is launched all details about the homes will be available on our website and social media channels.

In 2025, we launched three affordable housing purchase schemes in the Clondalkin/Newcastle/Rathcoole/Saggart and Brittas area.  156 homes were made available for affordable purchase, 70 homes at Kilcarbery Grange, 26 homes at Swiftbanks in Saggart and the first phase of our own build home at Canal Bank, Clonburris with 60 affordable homes in the scheme.

To date, 43 of the 70 homes in Kilcarbery Grange are sale agreed, 24 of the 26 homes Swiftbanks are sale agreed and 49 of the 60 homes in Canal Bank are sale agreed.
