That this Area Committee requests the Chief Executive to bring a headed report to the Committee on the outstanding works at the Village Green, including details of the proposed planting scheme and the reconstruction of the stone wall using salvaged materials. The report should outline how heritage and biodiversity considerations are being incorporated into the design and implementation of the works, and confirm the oversight arrangements in place to ensure quality and appropriate character.
REPORT:
The contractor for the Lucan Village Enhancement Scheme Comprising of the works at the Village Green, Demesne Park, and the Liffey Promenade (Weir), Bretland Construction Ltd., has advised that the works are expected to be completed and available for handover by mid-March. The contractor has also provided additional supervisory staff to the site to coordinate the remaining elements of the project and to prepare for the handover process.

Landscape planting will be undertaken by a specialist subcontractor over the coming weeks and comprises of a significant number of number of plants and grassed area. The proposed planting plan is provided with this report.
