QUESTION: Councillor A. Hayes

To ask the manager to explain the cause of persistent gully blockages outside 134 Kennelsfort road and downhill at Wheatfield road junction. Previous motion at this ACM in November 2025 relates.

REPLY:

Due to the low lying nature of the gullies located at 134 Kennelsfort Road and the junction of Kennelsfort Road and Wheatfield Road, in times of heavy rainfall water can pond in these areas.

To remedy this, these gullies are to be cleaned regularly in addition to our annual gully cleaning programme.

These areas have been added to the list of drainage hotspots.
