MOTION: Councillor V. Casserly

To call on the manager to provide wheelchair accessible surfaces in Airlie Park. While seating is available due to the surface they are inaccessible for wheelchair/mobility aid users. A hard accessible pathway to the seating would afford opportunity to use the facility.

REPORT:

A review of access routes to seating areas in Airlie Park will be carried out to determine the condition and accessibility of each location.  Areas that are identified as being inaccessible will be quantified and a programme of works put in place to have them upgraded.   The timeframe for upgrading is subject to the number of locations and extent of areas involved, nevertheless every effort will be made have works carried out within the current year.  If there are areas where significant funding is required these may have to be considered in the context of the 2027 budget process.
