QUESTION: Councillor N. Whelan

"To ask the Manager to provide an update on the sale of the houses at 24 St Maelruans Park?"

REPLY:

24, 24a, 24b and 24c St. Maelruan’s Park, Tallaght, Dublin 24 were compulsorily acquired under the Derelict Sites Act and title was vested to South Dublin County Council in April 2024. The properties were approved for funding under the Urban Regeneration and Development Fund (URDF) Call 3. Minor remedial works have been undertaken to make the properties suitable for private sale for residential use. It is anticipated that the properties will be made available on the market for sale in 2 phases with preference to first time buyers, once all legal formalities have concluded. 

An application for the Vacant Property Refurbishment Grant can be made by the purchasers subject to the terms and conditions of the grant.
