MOTION: Councillor M. Johansson

That the elected members of this council agree to write to the Minister for Education Hildegarde Naughton to express our solidarity with the school secretaries and caretakers who went on strike for pension parity and fair pay last year and to request that the Department of Education meet the demands from the workers and that the elected members condemn the delaying tactics that has resulted in the dispute going to the Labour Court.

If this motion is passed, a letter will be issued to the Minister for Education. The response, when received, will be circulated to the Members.
