QUESTION No. 19
QUESTION: Cllr. Guss O'Connell
To commend Management for concessions that have been made in response to residents complaints about the M50 Works and in particular for the diversion of heavy traffic away from some residential areas and the restoration of some open space for children's recreation and to ask the Manager to report on the liaison system that has been put in place for communities who live close to the current M50 Upgrade works and to include in his report if he is satisfied that the current arrangements are adequate and working well and to confirm that the Council is doing everything possible to minimise the impact on local residents, including reducing to the absolute minimum work outside of core 0800 to 1800 hours during the operational phase of the M50 Works?
REPLY
There are ogoing liasion meetings with resident represtatives groups along the M50 contract. These meetings are proven to be beneficial to all parties. The core working hours are 7am to 7pm and advance notice is given for necessary works outside these hours.
