MOTION: Councillor H. Farrell

To call on the Manager to install 'Road Narrows' signage before St. Joseph's College, Lucan travelling East and West on the Lucan Road (R835).

REPORT:

The Traffic Section has reviewed the request for the installation of “Road Narrows” signage in the vicinity of St. Joseph’s College, Lucan, on the Lucan Road (R835), travelling eastbound and westbound.

Following the assessment, it has been determined that the existing road layout, carriageway width, and traffic conditions at this location do not warrant the installation of “Road Narrows” warning signage. The road operates in accordance with current design standards, and additional signage is not considered necessary or appropriate at this location.

The Traffic Section will continue to monitor the road network and will review locations where changes in conditions or collision trends indicate that additional traffic management measures may be required.
