QUESTION: Councillor Joanna Tuffy
To ask the CEO for an update on how local bands can apply for South Dublin County Council supports, including funding, to perform live in their area
REPLY:
The South Dublin Live programme returns in 2026 and bands will have an opportunity to apply for funding to support live performances in the county through an Open Call. The dates for the Open Call have yet to be confirmed but Councillors will be notified as soon as details are available.
Amateur, voluntary and community performing groups can apply for funding, up to €3000 at any time during the year for funding to support programmes and performances through the Community Arts Grant 2026. The scheme will primarily grant aid groups based and performing in the County but also performing at events outside the County. Groups performing in, but not based, in the County will also be eligible to apply for support under the Scheme.
The activity that can be funded includes training, event subsidy, professional support, materials, project delivery and presentation.Application forms are available from cbaker@sdublincoco.ie
