That the Chief Executive examine the possibility of extending opening hours at the Library Hub in Palmerstown as the facility is now being used more and more by the local community including by students as a quiet study space.

Possible Extension of Palmerstown Library Opening Hours: 

Palmerstown Library's current opening hours are: 

Wednesday: 9.45-5pm  

Thursday : 1.00-8pm

Friday : 9.45am-4.30pm

Saturday: 9.45am-4.30pm

The current extended opening hours were officially opened in December 2023 and increased accessiy to Palmerstown library from 2- 4 days. 

SDCC libraries are happy to explore options to extend hours further with consideration given to community demand and operational feasibility.  We continue to focus on providing greater accessibility and convenience for our patrons.
