QUESTION: Councillor J. Spear

"Can the Manager please remove the dead tree at (details supplied) before 1 March? Council told the residents in April 2025 that the "tree has been inspected and is listed for removal...it is listed for action in September when Bird Nesting Season has ceased."

REPLY:

South Dublin County Council carried out an independent inspection of the full tree line to the rear of Bancroft Avenue. Following this inspection, a programme of recommended works will be undertaken across the entire stretch of the trees in Bancroft Park, rather than being limited to any single tree.

These works will be completed in advance of the nesting season commencing. Works identified include the removal of three Cupressus macrocarpa (Monterey Cypress) trees, including the Monterey Cypress located to the rear of the address supplied.
