QUESTION: Councillor W. Carey

To ask the Chief Executive to ask the manager to address the following matter raised here by Kilcronan residents Association: "All of the street lights as you come out of Kilcronan are not working and it is extremely dark at night Lockview road from Kilcronan roundabout to the Deansrath roundabout is complete darkness Kilcronan roundabout up St. Culbhert’s road is also complete darkness”. Can this be looked at immediately before there is an accident?

REPLY:

As of 14th January, 85% of the public lights at this location are repaired. The final 15 % are currently being worked on and we hope to have these operational by the end of this month. There are a number of cable faults here that need to be isolated and repaired.
