QUESTION: Councillor L. de Courcy
To ask the Chief Executive for an update on the timeline for road calming measures on McDonagh's Lane and Mount Seaskin Road in Brittas.
REPLY:
In response to the Area Committee Meeting in November, it was advised at that time that South Dublin County Council would examine suitable road safety and traffic calming measures for McDonagh’s Lane and Mount Seaskin Road, Brittas, and that elected members would be kept informed of any outcomes.
This location has since been included in the Traffic Section’s programme of work for review. The detailed assessment of this section of road has not yet commenced.
Once the review is undertaken, the Traffic Section will assess existing conditions and consider appropriate measures, including the potential for additional road markings or other low-cost traffic calming interventions, where deemed suitable. Elected members will be updated following completion of the review.
