MOTION NO. 3

MOTION: Councillor W. Carey

That this Area Committee agrees that remedial works should be carried out on kerbs at the entrance to Lealand Estate from Bawnogue Road and notes that the restrictive nature of the DMRS is causing hazards at these junctions.

REPORT:

The design of the junction is in accordance with national standards and promotes road safety and walking. 

Similar junctions are installed across the county and are useable but it does require drivers to amend their driving patterns, notably the speed they enter/exit estates.
