QUESTION: Councillor E. Ó Broin

To ask the Chief Executive if there have been any successful cases of citizens selling their private dwellings to SDCC and then moving in to Age Friendly accommodation as social housing tenants?

REPLY:

During 2024 and 2025, four private dwellings were acquired, with the vendors allocated Age-Friendly accommodation.

A further 12 properties are currently under review for potential acquisition from private vendors. Subject to completion, it is proposed that these vendors will be allocated Age-Friendly accommodation.
