MOTION: Councillor T. Gilligan

That this council rejects the variation , Variation no. 1 South Dublin CDP, the Clondalkin Local Planning Framework

CE REPORT:

The matter of adopting, amending or rejecting the proposed variation is one for all members of the council by way of resolution. The resolution is provided for under Headed Item 6 of the agenda and members will be facilitated in passing an agreed resolution following the full consideration of the variation and the chief executive’s report and any related motions as part of the conclusion of the meeting.

Section 13(7) of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended) restricts the members in the making of a variation ‘to considering the proper planning and sustainable development of the area to which the development plan relates, the statutory obligations of any local authority in the area and any relevant policies or objectives for the time being of the Government or any Minister of the Government’.

CE Recommendation:

This is a matter for the Resolution under Headed Item No. 6
