MOTIONS: Councillor H. Farrell

To ask the Manager to review the condition and capacity of Lucan's skatepark in Griffeen Valley Park in relation to the population density of the area currently and in terms of projected increases in the next 5 years, and explore options for upgrading or extending the facility to meet growing demand, ensure quality facilities for users, and report back to this committee on the findings and recommendations.

REPORT:

Funding has been provided for a teen facility to enhance the area in the vicinity of Lucan skate park.  Options under consideration include the provision of an additional skating bowl or other associated teen space type facilities.  It is intended to carry out a consultation exercise to ascertain the views of the users and implement them where possible in the final design.
