QUESTION: Councillor H. Farrell

To ask the Manager for the potential timeline for installing solar compactor segregated bins for Lucan parks, Griffeen Park especially, as there is a high demand for this from the public.

REPLY:

The current plan for the rollout of solar compactor bins is to install them in a number of villages across the county in the first instance.  The locations where they are being installed initially are Lucan Village, Clondalkin Village, Tallaght Village and Rathfarnham Village.  The next phase will see bins installed in other village locations/urban centres.

There is no timeline currently available for the provision of solar compactor bins in parks.
