QUESTION: Councillor L. O'Toole

To ask the Chief Executive if there is an update regarding the new primary school at Tandy's Lane, Adamstown including confirmation of the current status of the project and an indicative timeline for its completion and opening.

REPLY:

The Department of Education and Youth indicate the current status of the school site located at Tandy’s Lane as being at detailed design stage, as of 31/10/2025. SDCC engaged with the Department in September regarding this site, and they indicated that they will issue an update on their website on all large-scale projects moving to tender and construction stages. The Project Delivery Team have liaised with colleagues in the Forward Planning Section and requested an updated status for the Tandy’s Lane school site at their next meeting with the Department. We will endeavour to issue an update as soon as possible.
