MOTION NO.16

MOTION: Councillor L. O'Toole

That this Committee requests the Chief Executive to investigate the recurring issue of footpath flooding at the bus stop outside Westbury Close on the Newcastle Road. While previous works had appeared to resolve the problem it has since re-emerged. The Committee further requests that the location be re-examined to identify the cause of the ongoing drainage issue and that appropriate remedial measures be implemented to ensure a permanent solution.

REPORT:

As stated an attempt to resolve this previously was made and while initially successful it did not resolve the problem. A more extensive solution has now been prepared and is being installed this week. We will continue to monitor this
