QUESTION: Councillor C. Brady

To ask the Chief Executive for a progress update on the taking in charge of the Gandon estate in Lucan, including whether the developer has indicated a timeframe for resolving the outstanding issues, whether enforcement measures are being considered or are in place, and what steps have been taken since the last report to advance the process.

REPLY:

South Dublin County Council has made further contact with the developer of the Gandon estate in the last two weeks.  The developer has responded that they are organising a number of meetings with the residents of Gandon to try to resolve a couple of outstanding issues that are delaying the taking in charge (TIC) process.  

South Dublin County Council can confirm that the overwhelming majority of the steps necessary to take this estate in charge are completed to our satisfaction.

When these last elements are corrected, South Dublin will immediately advertise the estate for Taking in Charge.
