MOTION NO.3

MOTION: Councillor L. O'Toole

That this Area Committee requests the Chief Executive to engage with the Biodiversity Section to examine the feasibility of introducing mini-gardens or green roofs on bus shelters within the Lucan area similar to initiatives already implemented elsewhere in the country. Having greenery in such urban areas would not only enhance biodiversity but also improve air quality, support pollinators and add visual appeal to our streetscapes.

REPORT:

If the Motion is approved, a letter will be issued to Dublin Bus regarding the proposal, and when a reply is received, the committee will be notified accordingly.
