MOTION NO. 12

MOTION: Councillor E. Ó Broin

That this Area Committee agrees that more needs to be done to address the litter black spot on the Bawnogue Road between the vehicle entrance to Lindisfarne and the turn for the Lock View Road.

REPORT:

The Councils Litter Warden for the area has been in contact with a resident who has witnessed individuals disposing of material at various locations along this stretch of road. Following investigation, a number of addresses have been shared with our Waste Enforcement Officers who will carry out targeted inspections of the properties and how their waste is being disposed of. Any non compliances identified under South Dublin's 2018 Household and Commercial Waste Bye-Laws and/or the Waste Management Act 2006 will be subject of enforcement actions.
