MOTION: Councillor W. Carey

That this Area Committee agrees that the manager should correspond with the principal of Sacred Heart Primary School, Sruleen Parish, Greenpark / St. John's with a view to introducing the safe school street restrictions.

REPORT:

The Road Safety Office & Traffic Management Office had an onsite meeting with the principal of Sacred Heart NS Sruleen, on Thursday 9^th September last, to review concerns raised in relation to road safety at the school. Arrangements are being made to extend the double yellow lines in this vicinity.

Sacred Heart NS Sruleen will be included as a candidate school in the Safe School Zone Programme. The project lead will make contact with the principal after the current tranche of Safe School Zone works are completed.
