QUESTION NO. 7
QUESTION: Councillor F. Timmons
To ask the Chief Executive for an update on what actions and progress SDCC has made on getting the Council owned old swimming pool back into a community facility?
REPLY:
The Council is aware of requests from local community groups in relation to the availability of community space in the Clondalkin Village area and while there are no immediate plans to upgrade the old swimming pool building it is one of the sites being examined and reviewed within the context of the formulation of the Local Area Plan.
The first stage for any development plans for the old swimming pool, will be a requirement to complete an assessment of the condition of the old and to outline options/costing for what may be possible. The Council will look to have this assessment commissioned upon completion of other capital projects that already been committed to within the Council Capital programme.
